Internship Opportunities
- Summer 2012 Community Events & Program Internship - Boston Office The Community Events & Programming Interns are an integral member of the Programs Team and play a hands-on role in all Family Equality Council community programming. This unpaid internship involves community outreach, event planning and execution, use of social media and more. Success in this position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to think creatively and strategically in a changing environment, and the ability to problem solve independently.
- Summer 2012 Development Internship - Boston Office The Development Intern will be vital in supporting the fundraising efforts of the organization including event support, grant writing, corporate sponsorships, donor communications, and additional special projects. Other duties will include administrative tasks as needed. This individual will work in close partnership with the rest of the Advancement team to ensure the successful execution of a multi-pronged fundraising agenda.
- Summer 2012 Executive Department Internship - Boston Office The Executive Department Intern will play a vital role in supporting the administrative efforts of the organization, including arranging travel accommodations, managing office supplies, assisting in event planning, updating the organization’s donor database, and providing support on additional special projects. This individual will work in close partnership with the Executive Office to ensure the successful execution of day-to-day operations of the organization..
- Summer 2012 Communications Internship - DC Office The Communications/New Media Intern is an integral member of Communications team. This unpaid internship involves assistance with external communications and marketing efforts as well as research of and outreach to traditional mass media and social media outlets. Success in this position requires highly developed organizational skills, the ability to problem solve independently, a team-oriented mindset, and excellent interpersonal skills.
