- Spring or Summer 2014 Digital Communications Intern - DC Office The Digital Communications Intern is an integral member of the Communications team. This unpaid internship involves assistance with external communications and marketing efforts as well as research of and outreach to traditional mass media and digital media outlets. Success in this position requires highly developed organizational skills, the ability to problem solve independently, a team-oriented mindset, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Spring 2014 Community Events and Programs Internship - Boston Office Interns will assist with the planning and execution of local and national community events. This will include cultivating community partnerships, managing event logistics, conducting outreach with potential sponsors and advertisers, overseeing materials (inventory, purchasing, organization, & transport), writing content to promote events for Facebook, Twitter, e-blasts, and other news outlets, and drafting and designing event materials, gratitude letters, and event reports.
- Summer 2014 Community Events and Programs Internship: Family Week - Boston Office Interns will play an active role in planning and executing our signature event, Family Week. This will include cultivating community partnerships, managing event logistics, conducting outreach with potential sponsors and advertisers, overseeing materials (inventory, purchasing, organization, & transport), writing content to promote Family Week for Facebook, Twitter and e-blasts, and drafting and designing event materials, gratitude letters, and event reports. Interns will occasionally provide support to LGBTQ parent groups across the country, create or revise resources for our website, and assist with implementation of office systems and administrative tasks as needed.
- Spring 2014 Executive Internship, Community Events - Boston Office Interns are an integral part of the Program Team within Family Equality Council and play a critical support role in each of the events and activities that will be coordinated during this internship period. This internship involves community outreach, event planning and execution, fundraising research, overseeing materials, writing and publishing content to promote events and activities, drafting and designing event materials and other support functions as assigned.
