Midwest Office
The Family Equality Council’s Midwest office opened in June of 2008, when Rainbow Families, a local lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender-headed family support organization based in the Minneapolis area, sought to merge with Family Equality Council. Since the merger, Family Equality Council has preserved and continued to grow the many great events that the Minnesota community has come to know and love.
Midwest Advisory Council – Our Midwest Advisory Council (MWAC) is a group of volunteers who partner with us in our work to execute the mission of Family Equality Council on the ground across the Midwest region. Together, we focus on LGBT family-friendly events and community-building opportunities. The MWAC assists us in this work by providing programming recommendations, volunteer staffing at events, fundraising, and networking with local new and potential supporters. Family Equality Council is always seeking talented and enthusiastic members of the Midwest community to join our MWAC team.
