Family Equality Council is proud to honor acclaimed children's author Todd Parr for his work as an author and TV producer. Todd creates and shares art that inspires children to be kind, to celebrate differences, and to believe in themselves and others. These lessons are important for all children to learn, but bear special meaning for the children of LGBT parents.

Family Equality Council is proud to honor Chad Griffin for his work as the co-founder and Board President of the American Foundation for Equal Rights, the sole sponsor of the federal court challenge of California's Proposition 8. Chad has been a powerful voice in the struggle for marriage equality - a right and privilege that is essential for LGBT parents to fully protect and nurture their families.

Family Equality Council is proud to honor former Congressman Patrick Murphy for his tireless efforts to lead the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell. Because of his work, we are now able to engage all military families to ensure they are celebrated for their contributions to our country and recognized publically as the loving families they are.
