Community Night Spotlight: LGBTQ Family Pride Evening - Austin, TX

Family Equality Pool Party - Austin, TX

Join Austin Family Pride and Family Equality Council on Sunday for a pool party for LGBTQ parents, their children, extended families, prospective families, and friends!

If you’ve never been to Deep Eddy Pool, you’ll love the clear, cool, non-chlorinated, spring water and toddler-friendly, gradually-sloped, entry area. We’ll gather on the lawn at the shallow end of the pool, in front of the large wall mural.

Admission to Deep Eddy pool is $3 for adults, $2 for youth (ages 12-17), and $1 for kids (ages 1-11).

Deep Eddy has large changing areas with bathrooms and showers in the entrance pavilion, as well as a concession stand with snacks, drinks and flavored ice.

Limited parking is available in the Deep Eddy Pool parking lot, with overflow parking nearby on Veterans Drive and in the Johnson Creek trailhead lot (under the MoPac bridge).

RAINBOW FAMILIES ANNUAL FAMILY PICNIC- Washington, DC

Location: Hillwood Estate, Museum, & Gardens, 4155 Linnean Ave NW, Washington, DC 20008

Connect with other LGBTQ families in Hillwood's urban oasis at this family celebration. Festivities typically include:

• Pack a picnic from home or purchase food from the café's express menu to enjoy on the magnificent lawn.
• Play games on the lawn, including hula hoop, badminton, and jump rope.
• Practice your putt on the Putting Green.
• Get your face painted with your favorite garden critter.
• Try on costumes from a collection of hero's capes, royal crowns, knight's shields, and more.
• Create an art project of your very own to take home and discover Hillwood's treasures with an art search activity guide.

RAINBOW FAMILIES ANNUAL FAMILY CAMP WEEKEND- Worton, MD

Rainbow Families Sixth Family Camp Weekend will be held at Camp Tockwogh (about a 2 hour drive from the DMV). Camp Tockwogh is a 309-acre family-friendly campground located on the Chesapeake Bay. Since the first camp weekend in 2011, nearly 100 parents and their children have annually attended Family Camp Weekend!

Family Camp Weekend provides LGBTQ families with the very unique opportunity to forge personal connections and build community with one another. Together, parents and children spend the entire weekend enjoying the outdoors!

Join LGBTQ families from the DMV area for a fun-filled day at Cox Farm’s Pumpkin Madness! Fun for all ages, Rainbow Families Annual Family Outing to Cox Farm includes pumpkin-smashing, hayrides, live music, farm animals, a corn maze, hill slides, and lots of other activities. Be sure to bring your used Jack O'Lanterns so they can be smashed and recycled!
