Family Weekend at Gay Days Orlando is Family Equality Council’s annual long weekend event for area lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) parents, their children, extended families, prospective families, and friends. Each year, we partner with the Gay Days and Orlando Gay Parents to bring family activities, programming and community building for this fun-filled weekend.

RAINBOW FAMILIES ANNUAL FAMILY PICNIC

Connect with other LGBTQ families in Hillwood's urban oasis at this family celebration. Festivities typically include:
• Pack a picnic from home or purchase food from the café's express menu to enjoy on the magnificent lawn.
• Play games on the lawn, including hula hoop, badminton, and jump rope.
• Practice your putt on the Putting Green.
• Get your face painted with your favorite garden critter.
• Try on costumes from a collection of hero's capes, royal crowns, knight's shields, and more.
• Create an art project of your very own to take home and discover Hillwood's treasures with an art search activity guide.
RAINBOW FAMILIES ANNUAL FAMILY CAMP WEEKEND

Rainbow Families Sixth Family Camp Weekend will be held at Camp Tockwogh (about a 2 hour drive from the DMV). Camp Tockwogh is a 309-acre family-friendly campground located on the Chesapeake Bay. Since the first camp weekend in 2011, nearly 100 parents and their children have annually attended Family Camp Weekend!
Family Camp Weekend provides LGBTQ families with the very unique opportunity to forge personal connections and build community with one another. Together, parents and children spend the entire weekend enjoying the outdoors!

Fun for all ages, Rainbow Families Annual Family Outing to Cox Farm includes pumpkin-smashing, hayrides, live music, farm animals, a corn maze, hill slides, and lots of other activities. Be sure to bring your used Jack O'Lanterns so they can be smashed and recycled!
