Though it was over twenty years ago I was "asked to leave" my high school after the administration (and everyone else) found out my father was gay. Ironically I just blogged about this the other day at http://www.kidsofqueers.blogspot.com/ I'm glad there is a place for kids and parents to go to learn and find support. Wish it was around when I was a kid.


Doing any of this may not help if the administration isn't homophobic, and in many states in the U.S. there isn't anything you can do if the administration isn't willing. So before you tell people to out themselves, make sure they can't suffer legal discrimination for it--in many places, "You're gay" is a good reason to fire someone.
