Bon Voyage! We’re Going to Detroit!

In 45 minutes, four of the six Family Equality Council staff
members attending this year’s Creating Change conference are
boarding a plane for Detroit!

We’re super excited about all the great learning opportunities
Creating Change has to offer. The oldest and largest LGBTQ activist
conference in the nation, Creating Change is now 20 years old!

Thursday, February 7 we’ll be hosting “Families to the Front:
Cross-Issue Social Justice Work Around a Central Family Theme,” a
day-long institute for parents, allies and activists of all
experience levels and kinds! This is the first-ever institute of
its kind at Creating Change, and we’re very proud to have organized
20+ expert co-presenters from around the country to help make this
day a success!

Family Equality Council staff will also attend a series of
workshops over the weekend, strategically gathering knowledge to
bring back and build our organization for the better. No two staff
members will attend the same workshop — our goal is to infuse the
organization with as much cutting edge strategy as possible.

You can still register for Creating Change and join us on Thursday
for “Families to the Front” and throughout the weekend. A
record-breaking 3,000 participants are expected this year!

Registration will now be conducted on-site at the host hotel. You
can find out more information about that at www.creatingchange.org.
