Working to Protect Maine Equality

Family Equality
Council
continues to support efforts to preserve marriage
equality in Maine. Today through November 4, Volunteer Manager,
Sara Leckey will be working on the ground in the final days of the
No
on 1/Protect Maine Equality
campaign.

Election Day is a
pivotal day for equality in Maine. The statewide ballot contains
Question 1, which seeks to repeal the equal marriage law passed on
May 6, 2009. Family Equality Council is proud to support the No on
1 campaign, working to preserve marriage equality. In addition to
sending staff to assist the campaign’s field effort, we continue to
raise much needed funds and engage our families in Maine as well as
across the country in this historic effort.

Do you live in Maine or are you heading to Maine for a “Volunteer
Vacation” to help protect marriage equality? If so bring your
family to meet and work with Sara!
