Throughout the month of February, Family Equality Council is celebrating Black History Month by honoring the accomplishments, contributions, and lives of LGBT Black Americans, past and present.
Don Lemon (3/1/66- )—Louisiana native Don Lemon is a journalist and CNN primetime anchor. He has won several awards for his journalism, including two Emmys for his coverage of the AIDS epidemic in Africa. He came out while writing his 2011 memoir, Transparent.
