Lynn Santiago-Calling Joins the New England Advisory Council

Lynn Santiago-Calling works with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Annual Fund Office, where she encourages alumni in their 50th Reunion to volunteer and support their milestone Reunion with a financial contribution. At MIT Lynn also co-leads the LBGT Employee Resource Group, which is a way for employees who identify as LBGT to get together for networking, educational, or social events.

At home, in West Bridgewater, Lynn volunteers in her community by attending PTO meetings, helping in the schools, and being a part of the “Neighbor Brigade,” which offers services such as meals, rides, assistance with pets, and more to the members of West Bridgewater who may be going through challenging times. Lynn has also recently started a book club for her son and his friends to encourage boys to read and discuss some of their favorite books and stories.

Lynn is married to her college sweetheart, Christin, whom she met while they were both attending the University of Connecticut. They have been together since 1996, and were married in 2000, and then legally wed in June 2004. They are moms to their 2 wonderful children Kyan and Mia.
Being a part of the New England Advisory Council is important to Lynn because she is committed to making the world a better place for everyone– especially for those who may be seen as “different.”

Lynn believes that being “different” makes the world a more exciting place and in order to accept and honor our differences, those differences need to be recognized. Lynn hopes to be able to make her community an even more accepting and safe place, as well as serve as a resource to those individuals who may be seeking support.
