Welcome our 2019 COLAGE Family Week Interns!

We’re delighted to join COLAGE in welcoming four talented interns to COLAGE’s team to help prepare for Family Week 2019! Learn more about each of them below:

Sonya Rio-GlickSonya Rio-Glick
Youth Accessibility Lead Intern

Sonya Rio-Glick (she/hers) is excited to be COLAGE’s 2019 Youth Accessibility Lead! An active COLAGE participant since 2009, Sonya has two moms and an identical twin. She is passionate about issues of intersecting identity, which she explores in her blog, Where She Stands.

She is currently studying Arts Management at Purchase College, SUNY, and plans to pursue a career in theatre.

Youth Accessibility Lead Intern

Ruby (she/her/hers) is a 2019 Youth Accessibility lead intern. She has been coming to COLAGE Family Week for 8 years and this will be her 4th year on staff. She lives by the belief that every individuals’ needs must be heard and respected, and for that reason aims to assist in ensuring that COLAGE’s inclusive and uplifting programming is formed around intersectional identities. She is currently pursuing a double major at Oberlin College in Anthropology and Biochemistry.

She is thrilled to be part of an organization that works to aid youth in discovering a passion for social advocacy and finding their voice as part of the all-inspiring community COLAGE fosters.

Emily HarnettEmily Harnett
Program Intern

Emily Harnett (she/her/hers) is a second generation queerspawn with two moms who is currently an acting major at Point Park University Conservatory of Performing Arts. She is passionate about storytelling through the arts and loves to listen to others’ journeys and backgrounds.

While not rehearsing, singing, or working with COLAGE, you can find Emily with her friends, eating fun food, or hanging out with her dog. She can not wait to meet you!!

Angel MartinAngel Martin
Program Intern

Angel (she/her/hers) is a 2019 Family Week Program Intern! This is her 15th year at Family Week with COLAGE. She has a lesbian mom and straight dad.

In May, she graduated from Wesleyan University with a double BA in African American Studies and American Studies. Her passions include community organizing, singing, writing, and traveling! She is so excited for FW2019!
