Ways to leave a legacy gift
There are a few ways you can join this impactful community.
- A gift in your will or trust: Designate a specific amount or leave a percentage of your estate to Family Equality to ensure the fight for LGBTQ+ families continues on — while also achieving estate tax advantages.
Sample language: I [name], of [city, state], bequeath the sum of $[X] or [X] percent of my estate to Family Equality, a nonprofit organization with a business address of 475 Park Ave. S, #2100, New York, NY 10016 and a tax identification number of 52-1438455 for its unrestricted use and purpose. - Beneficiary designations: Specify Family Equality as a designated beneficiary of your retirement assets, life insurance policies, and other annuities. You do not need to update your will to make these changes.
