Ed Harris joined Family Equality Council in August 2016 currently serves as Chief Communications Officer, leading the organization’s digital and print communications, media relations, and storytelling work.
Ed has broad experience in nonprofit communications management, digital advocacy, web design, and online content strategy. Prior to joining Family Equality Council, he managed online communications for the Bill of Rights Defense Committee, a national grassroots network focused on protecting First and Fourth Amendment rights, and for the Collaborative for Educational Services, an agency supporting public schools in Western Massachusetts. He has a background in social science research, and holds a Ph.D. from Clark University.
A native of the UK, Ed moved to the US in 2009 and lives with his family in Vermont.
