Ed Harris joined Family Equality Council in August 2016 as a member of the Communications Team, and is responsible for building engagement and facilitating relationships within the Family Equality community. Ed manages Family Equality Council’s digital presence, including website content, social media channels, and email outreach.
Ed has broad experience in nonprofit communications management, web design, and online content strategy. Prior to joining Family Equality Council, he managed online communications for the Bill of Rights Defense Committee, a national grassroots network focused on protecting First and Fourth Amendment rights, and for the Collaborative for Educational Services, an agency supporting public schools in Western Massachusetts. He has a background in social science research, and holds a Ph.D. from Clark University.
A native of the UK, Ed moved to the US in 2009 and lives with his family in Vermont.
