Creator of Pulitzer Award-winning A Strange Loop, Michael R. Jackson, and Critically-Acclaimed Cast of SIX to perform at Family Equality’s Night at the Pier in New York City

A Strange Loop’s playwright, composer and lyricist, Michael R. Jackson, and the award-winning cast of SIX will perform this May to garner support for LGBTQ+ families


NEW YORK — Family Equality, the nation’s leading organization advocating for current and future LGBTQ+ families, is delighted to announce that critically-acclaimed playwright, composer, and lyricist of Pulitzer award-winning A Strange Loop, Michael R. Jackson, and the cast of global sensation SIX will be performing live at Night at the Pier in New York City at Pier Sixty on May 16, 2022. They join honorees Jordan Roth and Richie Jackson, Hostetter-Habib Award winner, Lydia Gray-Holifield, and CEO Stacey Stevenson for a dynamic program produced by Academy Award winner Bruce Cohen.

With more than 300 anti-LGBTQ+ bills introduced across the country, Family Equality’s Night at the Pier gala raises awareness for the issues LGBTQ+ families face, garners support for the organization’s work, and honors advocates in the movement for LGBTQ+ equality.
